"1 Corinthians:  Timeless Message from an Ancient Church"

The Corinth of New Testament times has been described as a combination of modern day New York City, Los Angeles and Las Vegas combined. People went to Corinth to make money and seek pleasure. The two overriding forces in the city in which the Corinthian church had to exist were philosophy and sensuality. Paul’s first epistle to the Corinthians addresses many of the complex issues that we face today in our urban, multicultural society. Come and join us as we look at this timeless message to an ancient church.

We have 2 guests online

Red River Church is a non-denominational, inter-generational people of Christ-followers whose purpose is to reproduce others by:

  • connecting with God to know Him intimately
  • connecting with others in community for spiritual transformation
  • connecting with the world to enlarge the kingdom of Christ.

Job the Film Screening

Wednesday, September 14, 7-9pm, Library Media Center

Why do bad things happen to good people?

Jõb lost everything: his wealth, his health, and his ten children. All swept away in one satanic storm. Reduced to a heap of flesh, ashes, and tears—rebuked by friends and jeered by strangers—righteous Jõb wrestled over the purpose and presence of God in the midst of unbearable pain.

Join us for a screening of #JobTheFilm an independently produced full-length (45min) motion graphics animated movie (2012) retelling the biblical story. An opportunity for discussion will follow.

  • Poetry and narration: John Piper
  • Music: J. Aaron Greene

Women's Bible Study

"Believing Jesus" by Lisa Harper

Thursdays at 7pm beginning September 8
Facilitator:  Mary Riley

Women of all ages are welcome to join us on Sept.8th as we kick off a new study -- Believing Jesus: a Journey Through the Book of Acts. We'll be meeting EVERY Thursday evening for 9 weeks. Newcomers welcome!

In BelievingJesus, Bible teacher and author Lisa Harper retraces the steps of the apostles in the book of Acts, while throwing in a few of her own crazy adventures along the way. The disciples didn’t have much of a road map after Jesus ascended to heaven, but God’s grace and Spirit filled in the gaps as they moved forward. It required their willingness to risk everything to establish a new community that would change the future world.
